How do Partners on Youtube make money?
How do partners make cash off of youtube? Do they make money on how many subscribers they have or how many views? I heard you make 25$ every thousand views im not sure if this is true or not.

Brenton Parker answers:
Actually they say you get paid per ads when people click on them, they appear in a small icon on your video. The link is below if you want to know more

Paul asks…
How Exactly do people make money on youtube and how?
I just wanna know how much money people make on Youtube? People Like ShaneDawsen and Fred have a lot of views, but do they also make a lot of money? If they do make money how much do they make. ex. per click, per 100 clicks, etc.

Brenton Parker answers:
Idk how much they make.. But i do know you have to be a partner. You have to have 1,000,000 subscribers or more

Lizzie asks…
How do people with makeup videos on youtube make money?
Like I know Blair and Elle Fowler (juicystar07 and AllThatGlitters21) make money from doing their makeup vids on youtube, but exactly how??

They have to be a youtube partner. If you see ads on the video or on the side of the video, when people click on those, she gets money. Also, if you video gains 1,000 views in a certain amount of time (when your a partner) you get money

Your Questions About Internet Business For Sale
November 29, 2011 by Brenton Parker
what kind of insurance will i need for my catalog sales business?
I am starting a home based catalog sales and internet business selling clothing and accessories, what kind of insurance will I need to purchase for this type of business?

Brenton Parker answers:
You should look into liability insurance for your business. Your home insurance policy likely excludes a home based business. Your home insurer might have a home based business insurance rider. But many companies do not offer home based business insurance for internet sales so you might have to look for a commercial general liability policy.
Good luck with your business!

Paul asks…
Can I declare the sale of an internet domain as a capital gain?
I recently sold the internet domain and business I had developed over a two year period. It’s arguable whether the value of what I was selling was primarily the domain name itself or whether it was the business and the small revenue stream the website was starting to generate. Can I declare the sale as a capital gain? If so, what do I call the purchase price? (the $8 registration I intially paid?). Or do I somehow add up the assets of the business which I sold? Or do I have to declare the business sale as regular income? (it was not incorporated in any way).
I need an answer for both US and Canadian taxes as I have to file in both countries.

Brenton Parker answers:
With the sale of any business, your basis in the business is determined by adding the value of the assets of the company. The sales price less your basis would then constitute your gain on the sale of the business. If you have owned the business for more than a year, then it will be considered a long term capital gain. This applies for the US, and I assume that it would also apply to Canada as well.

Mark asks…
Register the business and get sales/resellers licence for starting a home based internet business?
Hello,
I am interested in starting my own home based internet business selling phone accessories on a professionally designed website.
However, I am curious if I would need to register my business and get myself a sales licence/resellers permit.
Can someone enlighten me?
Thanks in advance! (:

Brenton Parker answers:
Yes, you will have some ‘hoops’ to jump through to be recognized as a business operating legally and of course the government has to keep track of your income, which they do by assigning you a EIN number.
Assuming you are in the U.S., here is a link to a page at the Small Business Administration that contains, by state, links to advise you of the licensing requirements according to your location.
Hope that helps.

Michael asks…
Cany anyone assist me..I need help writing a slogan for my internet business?
I am trying to improve my sales on the internet and would like to add a catchy phrase to my business. I sell rodeo equipment, horse tack, and can make practically anything in regards to horse related items and have a good track record for creating quality products, in a short amount of time. Help? my brain is fried and need assistance in creating such a slogan. Any ideas would help, Thanks.

Brenton Parker answers:
“Need best quality horse’s stuff at an affordable price? Get it from us–straight from the horse’s mouth!”
or “Horses can tell. We sell best quality stuff.”
I don’t know if it makes sense. I’m also running out of idea.. But I’m sure, this will contribute to your idea in formulating your advertising phrase. The more unusual your phrase is, the more catchy. Just consider the relevance added with a pinch of foolishness. That’s how advertising works.

John asks…
Does having a pt home business prevent short-term dis benefits?
I have a full time job but am contemplating going on short-term medical disability for a few weeks. I have a part time internet sales business that I do report to the IRS. Since the home business is ‘income’ would it void me from the disability payments?

Brenton Parker answers:
Yes, you do have to report all sources of income. As well, if you claim disability, you have to establish why you are medically unfit to do your work duties but are capable of working your home business. Good luck!

George asks…
What to do after graduation?
Currently I’m studying the bachelor of BIT(Business information technology) in Malaysia.i have one more year and then my study will be finished.after that my visa wouldn’t be renewed unless i have a job.now I’m thinking as a foreigner fresh graduate how can i find a work in Malaysia? as i said i study BIT and i know some basics about programming, web design, business rules but I’m not a master in them.when i surf through the job ads and i come around something like this “need a java programmer”,”a web programmer or web designer”,”Business analyst” and so much more, i feel like i know nothing about these things and I’m not qualified to apply for the job, cause i just know the basics(that’s what they taught you in university) not depth.these feelings make me frustrated day by day. i was thinking about getting a certificate in java or web programming but i don’t have enough money to spend for those classes.so my questions are:
1-Which of these abilities (Programming, web designing and other related subjects to my field of study-plz introduce if you know more) is easier to obtain and could be learned free(Self-paced)?
2-Do you know any sites that could help me to know all the jobs related to my course?and give me a sense of comprehension about the future prospect of my job.
3.is there any law that when you want to work in Malaysia, you must know the Bahasa Malaysia?
4.if the next year i couldn’t find a job in Malaysia then i have to go back to my country(Iran).do you think i must apply for other countries as well?which countries are good for work esp as a fresh graduate?

Paul asks…
What does it take to be a Web Developer/Designer?
I am finishing up my last year of a IT Web Programmer/Analyst Degree. I have been playing around with web design for about 4 years, but I went to school to learn how to be an at least half way decent programmer and I also wanted that little piece for paper that might help me land a decent paying job.
My major goal as a developer is to become financially independent as a free lancer and entrepreneur, but I am also aware that working for a larger company will help pay the bills until I can create the next Myspace of Ebay, lol. No, but seriously, even though I have created a few websites for a few small businesses they are not oober technical, nor graphically elaborate, and the reality that play time will soon be over has me shaking in my boots.
I thought I would come to the experts who have been there and done that for advice on how to improve my resume and possibly suggest extra courses I may want to take over the next year that can better prepare me to enter into the market .

Brenton Parker answers:
Basically the challenge. You never know what to expect in designing and programing a site, Always something goes wrong a long the testing phase you have to know how to debug, time management (big time!), and new code technology to adapt to new browsers and new devices. To tell you the truth I feel that web design is a service that really sees no end, there is no real finished product. It changes, updates, adapts, gets redesigned. Ads new features, grows with web traffic. You really have to love it.
Post a website you did, would like to see the portfolio, how can we really tell you how you can improve?

“Internet flaw could let hackers take over the Web” New World Order 1-Govt hacker BEAST super-PC know-allNOW?
By Glenn Chapman AFP – Wednesday, July 9 SAN FRANCISCO
Computer industry heavyweights are hustling to fix a flaw in the foundation of the Internet that would let hackers control traffic on the World Wide Web.
Major software and hardware makers worked in secret for months to create a software “patch” released on Tuesday to repair the problem, which is in the way computers are routed to web page addresses.
“It’s a very fundamental issue with how the entire addressing scheme of the Internet works,” Securosis analyst Rich Mogul said in a media conference call.
“You’d have the Internet, but it wouldn’t be the Internet you expect. (Hackers) would control everything.”
The flaw would be a boon for “phishing” cons that involve leading people to imitation web pages of businesses such as bank or credit card companies to trick them into disclosing account numbers, passwords and other information

Every year, there are business competitions where owners can submit a video or an essay to win money. Google “2010 business competition” “your city” and see what the results are.
Also consider Pepsi’s Refesh Project or Microsoft’s Make It Great. See links below.

Do you have any ideas on how i can make money without spending too much on a product or anything else?
thanks for your help!

Brenton Parker answers:
E-commerce is best. Buying and selling of goods or services.

Sharon asks…
What are some good Online Business ideas, and how do you start it?
I also dont know how you go about selling the product

Brenton Parker answers:
Let me try to be your guru as I’ve been through this before …
1) Ebay
2) Affiliate programs
3) online store
those are the 3 areas you want to get into. Nevermind any links to other sites promising this and that. YOU want to be the boss. Grow your business from the ground up and you will be most successful that way (good advice).
First I want to say, it is smart of you to consider owning your own business as this is where the money is made. Your potential is unlimited opposed to working in a factory it IS limited to potential earnings.
1) Ebay – buying low and selling high. No different than playing in the markets like stocks or currencies. But here you have much smaller risk. Businesses always offer the least amount of risk but require the most amount of work. Stocks for example, would be the opposite. So starting your own online business I do highly encouarge as I consider it a safe investment …
How to sell on Ebay? I choose Ebay as your prime marketplace to sell your goods because it surely is. It draws all the traffic to your “store” at no cost to you so use that as an advantage. The disadvantage however are paying the fees to auction your goods. Now lets begin … There are 3 ways to profit on Ebay that I will explain … 1a) “breakdown” … 1b) “bulk” … 1c) “creation”.
1a) Breakdown = purchasing a product that requires to be broken down in order to sell at a profit. For example, purchase a case of collectible trading cards. A case consists of 1 case = 6 boxes = 36 packs in each box = 15 cards in each pack. By purchasing this CASE, you break it down to the SINGLE cards that you will be selling. Profit is made by the time you put in to breaking that down as well as how heavy the market is for that product (for example, Magic the Gathering is a more popular CCG (collectible card game) than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So you want to choose a popular product to sell! Sport cards are also the same way. However, the market is not as popular right now as it used to be when Lebron James was drafted and everybody wanted his rookie card. So understanding the market is very important to high revenues. This may require a lot of research on your behalf.
1b) Bulk = Purchasing 100 rings for $100 and expecting each to sell for $1.50 each on average. My sister had a Ring business on Ebay. Very successful. She would purchase rings in bulk at $1 each, auction them off and get up to $20 on a ring! The downside to purchasing in bulk (this happens to breakdown as well) is that you will be left will a bunch of unsellable merchandise. Its the stuff nobody wants. Rest assured though, you can always get rid of them by selling that “junk” in bulk as well. If nobody will buy 1 bad men’s ring, somebody WILL buy 20 bad men’s rings. Oh and I should also mention Space Requirement for you and your business. I will mention a little later. Another example of Bulk is purchasing somebodys collection of video games. They have 30 games and a game system you may be able to buy for $200. Sell the game system for $50, sell the rest of the games individually at $7, you make $60 profit on the $200 investment. Also an example of a breakdown.
(Im going to fill you in on an Ebay business I had)
I sold collectible trading cards. After 6 months I became the top 10 biggest sellers in the Toys and Hobbies Department. I went through $35,000 in sales a week. Lol thats a lot right? I had 7 employees including 1 manager. When your business grows, or even when you start, first you need to research the web for the cheapest supplies for your business. Starting a business takes SO much work and you’re constantly improving it, and you need to MANAGE it as you go along. In my example, I needed bubble wrap envelopes. I purchased normal envelopes and bubble wrap rolls. I would have one of my employees cut the bubble wrap roll, wrap it around the cards, tape it, and place it in the envelope. This was the cheapest way of doing it which is why I started out this way. However, I noticed that by purchasing actual bubble-wrapped envelopes I would save the emplyees XX amount of time, and in business TIME is MONEY. So after calculations I agreed that this would be best for the business (and more professional). You also need SPACE. That will become a major concern for your business. At the time I rented a 2-story 5-bedroom house. Each bedroom + the living room was occupied with tables, computers, and empty boxes / wrappers. I needed to expand. Eventually I hired people through the newspaper and had them work at home with my manager dealing with that problem. I also had family members (people you can trust!) theres so much to teach. You want people you can trust to work for you is one thing. Space is another. Upgrading is another. And .. .wages if you expand. I ended up paying them by the amount of work they put in as this is what my manager advised me to do if they will be working at home. I RAN OUT OF ROOM. Sorry I cant cover other subjects. Email me for the rest …

Laura asks…
What are some of the totally stupid online business ideas that made someone rich?

Brenton Parker answers:
I remember in the past there were many people getting confused reading instructions that included the “press any key” statement.
They simply looked and looked and they couldn’t find it, so someone had the idea to make a sticker that said “any” on it, to be applied on some seldom used key.
I bet he got rich.

Your Questions About Make Money Quick Stock Market

Nancy asks…
Need to make QUICK money in stock simulator game. Any Ideas?
I am having a competition with a stock market simulator game and want to win. Any ideas on high risk stocks with a potentially high payout?

Brenton Parker answers:
Hey,
If you are using Wall Street Survivor or UpDown.com, I suggest http://www.FineLineInvesting.com
I run the website and have a variety of people contribute. I am currently ranked 97th out of 5000+ in the UpDown student contest.
I traded a lot of small-cap stocks recently to try and increase my gains. I rode FNM and FRE from under $0.80 to $1.00+. Now with the market so volatile, there isn’t as much need for just using small-caps.
Try shorting UAUA (view the October 17th entry on FineLineInvesting.com)

George asks…
what would be the quickest way to make money in the stock market today?
i am relatively new to the market. i am wondering what investment ideas ,trades, stocks etc.. would yield the quickest return on my investment

Brenton Parker answers:
Options are a quick way to make money however if you don’t know what your doing they can be very bad. Even if you know what you’re doing they are still risky. Read a tutorial on investopedia about options.

Joseph asks…
Where do I start to learn to make money on the stock market?
I would like to learn more about the stockmarket.Went to an investment seminaar the other day and all these people is doing is traying to let you purchase thier “make you rich quick package” , I’m studing business and sow right through thier merketing techniques. If any one can advise me on books and websites or any other information that I might find of use I will appreciate it.
Thanx guys

Brenton Parker answers:
Congratulations on getting started. It’ll help you more than you know! You ask a very broad question, so be prepared for a pretty long answer. Just take it in chunks!
How to invest depends on what you already know. We’ll assume that you’re beginning even though you’re studying business now.
A good primer is How to Make Money in Stocks by William O’Neil. You can get it cheap just about anywhere. It’s widely available new or used.
Another good one is one of Jim Cramer’s books.
But books will only get you so far. At some point, you’ll also want to get at least a little training. There are some great education companies if you want to make the investment. Investools.com or optionetics.com are both very good companies as is tmitchell.com
For free, you can start by visiting thestreet.com and investopedia.com. That’ll get you a pretty good primer so at least you’ll understand what the markets are and what a stock is, etc.
If you get a chance, watch Mad Money on CNBC. Don’t trade any of his picks. Just use the show to get you to understand some basics and get a feel for the market itself.
Next, subscribe to something like investorsbusiness daily or something like that that can help you identify good stocks.
Once you understand stocks, go to 888options.com. It’s a website that’ll help you understand options (what they do, how they work, etc). You don’t need to trade them, but the more you know, the more you’ll see how options can really be the safest way to invest (once you’re educated).
As you get more advanced, you might want a technical analysis book like Murphy’s Visual Investor or A Technical Analysis Course by Meyer.
If it’s discipline (which is crucial to successful trading), probably Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas or Mastering the Trade by John Carter
I know that’s a LOT to absorb. Just take it one step at a time for now. Start with a book or two to give you an idea of where to begin.
As you get up to speed, you should papertrade to practice (highly recommended).
You can practice on almost any reputable broker site (optionsxpress, scottrade, thinkorswim, etc).
Start slow, then as you figure things out, you can buy more shares.
Congrats again on getting started. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Hope this helps!

Daniel asks…
Can I make some money from the stock market if I start with something like $ 500?
I’m not looking for long term profits. I’m a college boy so I’m looking for something quick. Where should I start? Any good guides or books on this?

Brenton Parker answers:
I would suggest against it. Usually, to start investing, a more substantive amount of money, like $10,000 is expected with a brokerage account. I would suggest paying off any high rate debt first. Then, after paying off the debt, consider opening a high yield savings account. There are banks (citiBank direct, for instance) that offer reasonable returns in the 5% range.
Please note: If you make more than $10 in interest, the feds will tax that money at 40% in some cases. You might consider opening up a Roth IRA and allowing the money to grow tax free and withdrawing the money at retirement tax free too. If this is the route you consider, invest in an ETF or mutual fund with low fees. Check out Morningstar ratings to find a good fund to use.
Or – there is the ultimate college solution: Spend it on a massive kegger and make $2000. Be sure to buy wristbands.
