i really like games where you run your own business and things. like youda camper and restaurant or day care games. Jane’s hotel was quite good and airport mania. the thing is, ive done the ‘vet spa’ or hair salon or even dentist games. is there another game where you run your own store and its really fun? and its online! like a real strategy game where u can hire employees and make business decisions? and id like to play wedding planner or dash or whatever but i cant install active X so….any suggestions?

Brenton Parker answers:
Http://www.gonogames.com is the best because it is not blocked by many school and work filters and has a great selection of games. They are no-download games, you just play them from your browser, and Now they just started letting you sign up for free for full membership! They are perfect for the type of game you are describing. All you have to do is search for the game you want in the search box on the top right side! They have loads of other games as well.

online business ideas?
I am interested in starting an online business and am wondering what type of thing you would like to find more of online? (example- things for infants and children, jewelry, anything…) ideas would be very helpful.

Brenton Parker answers:
If you really want to work online, I suggest you start your own business your best bet is partner up with a company that direct sales a product. That’s what we did. You can create a web site, or have the company set up a web site for you to sale the products and services. Or collaborate with different companies. After you’ve set it up, you’ll have to generate traffic to your site as means of either advertisement (which you’ll have to spend a lot of money doing) or the more effective way is word of mouth and referals, which are free and more effective. Partner up with a company that gives you monthly earnings from services that you put people on either by in person, phone or from your web site. What I mean is for instance, my husband partnered up with a telecommunications service provider and all the cellular phone companies. Someone purchase a cell phone from our web site, or a land line or Internet service or whatever, the product it’self your able to provide at a whole sale cost as a distributer through the providers. When someone gets on the services, the company pays you a percentage of that person’s billing every single month, month after month for the referal from you by word of mouth or by your web site.
If you’d like to see an example of what I’m talking about, your more then welcome to take a look at my web site at www.tiffanyvague.acnrep.com Take a look at the products and services there, tour the company etc and to give you an idea of how you should have each of the companies and make extra money off the effort that you provided to these companies.
Once you decide on a product or products and services, you need to start driving “traffic” to your web site. A lot of work but well worth the effort when your income starts going and rapidly increases. The most effective way I’ve found is simply word of mouth and referrals. We’ve had our business for over six years and this has been the most effective way. Loyal customers bring in more customers by the way you treat them, the quality of the items you have and the timely matter of the service you provide.
Get a product and or service that’s high in demand. If you create your own web site, make sure it’s professional looking and not cheesy like a lot of web sites look out there. I’m not a web master, so I had the company do mine for me.
If your interested in this industry and would like to learn more about it, and how to’s and what not, the person you should contact is Tiffany. You can e-mail her at kaiden4@aol.com
She can answer any questions you may have.
Good Luck

Nancy asks…
Any online business ideas?
Hi,
I am planning to make some money online. I want to start my own personal business. Do you have any ideas? I was thinking maybe make a site reselling items from cheap chinese sites for a higher price, or making my own original thing and selling it? I am able to make a professional websites, offering something, such as computer help, or make websites for people? Please give me ideas.
Thanks

Brenton Parker answers:
Stay away from the MLM, and that.
Most are just scams. You need your own idea’s and thoughts.
The problem with the Chinese is how to get it into the country, and then resell it? You have to deal with customs, unless each order is small.

Jenny asks…
What are some ideas for a online business?
What are some ideas for a online business?

Brenton Parker answers:
If you are just looking for some random thing to do on line you can go on eBay and buy a template for just about any business. I dont know if People have Had good luck with any of them but i am always looking for businesses for sale and that is where i check but i always come up with a bunch of things on line.

Robert asks…
What are some good online business ideas?

Brenton Parker answers:
If you are fairly computer literate you could start a reseller web hosting business which is really easy to do although quite a competitive market.
You don’t need any technical skills as all this side of things is taken care of by the parent hosting company.
Depending on who you sign up with, they give you an online billing package as well as web templates you can use.
But whatever idea you decide to go with make sure you research it well as coming up with the perfect idea for you is key to the success of your business.

Charles asks…

Your Questions About Online Business Bureau

Sueing An Online Business In Canada??
I purchased a computer online from Tigerdirect.
After the orginal payment of the shopping cart, I noticed 2 unathorized payments on my credit card. The first was completely refunded. The second was not even though Tigerdirect admitted to unlawfully taking funds from my card. These errors of theirs caused me to lose an important date which caused a great deal of embarrasement as well as a loss of concentration causing a break down and a loss of marks at University. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau, but I choose to sue them in small claims court. Do You think I will win? Can I sue an online store? Can I sue for pain and suffering? How much can sue for, and how do I go about doing so?

Brenton Parker answers:
Contact the credit card company first and get the unauthorized charges removed – once that’s done – you’ll never get win anything in a lawsuit – just put the bad experience behind you and move on with life

Carol asks…
Is there a better business bureau or some type of agency that polices the businesses on the internet?
I bought a product online and believe I have been scammed. I would like to know if there is any way I can report this business if indeed I have lost my money.

Brenton Parker answers:
You can try reporting it to the Better Business Bureau but that is one of the problems with the internet and is one reason to be very careful of what you buy online. Is there any contact information for the business?

Sandra asks…
Are there any legitimate at home businesses that are accredited by the Better Business Bureau?
I’m a single mom of three and has been searching the internet for any at home business opportunities I can do in my spare time. I do participate in those online surveys but that seems to be a dead end. I want something that’s not a scam and will not take what money I don’t have. I do verify everything through the better business bureau. I’m not interested in posting a web link or blog because I don’t have my own business nor do I intend on having my own business. I was more interested in posting links, data entry, etc. for other companies. So if anyone has had any luck with some of those online business opportunities please feel free to share. I greatly appreciate any information you can provide. Thanks a bunch!

Brenton Parker answers:
I’m not sure from your question if you are looking for a home BUSINESS or a home JOB. The two are totally different, but sometimes the lines are blurry.
With a home JOB, a company pays you to do specific work for them and usually no investment on your part is required except for the cost of your computer, telephone, office supplies, etc.
The line gets blurry because many companies hire people as independent contractors (so they don’t have to pay benefits, social security or income tax, etc.) which makes you self-employed from a tax perspective.
Unfortunately home JOBS are difficult to find. It usually requires having special skills that a company needs badly enough that they are willing to pay you to do it from home.
Most people who want to work from home, end up realizing that the best way is to start their own business. It gives them the freedom to be home and schedule their work hours around their family schedule.
Home Businesses usually do require an investment to buy marketing materials, a supply of product, a website, etc. The easiest way to start your own home business is to sign up with a company that uses independent distributors or sales reps to market their products. Most reputable ones are Accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
Starting your own business as a distributor is usually fairly low cost and has low monthly overhead. In exchange for the costs most companies provide free training, a website for online sales, low-cost marketing materials like catalogs, brochures, business cards etc.
Since you asked for people to share, I’ll post a link to the company that I have found personally to be a good business opportunity. It is BBB Accredited.

Paul asks…
How do I make money online with starting my own online business or website?
IM NOT looking for a get rich quick scheme, even though that would be great. Im looking for a way to just make more money. I’ve been doing tons and tons of research online by just typing it into google and keep getting hundreds of site that want me to pay either a one time fee or monthly for data entry or working for some other website or bidding on projects to work on.. And it’s all scams.. They say they aren’t get rich quick things but everything they say about money is a damn good amount of money and it doesn’t seem real. I even check some of them that look really good on better business bureau and they don’t even show up.. So what im looking for is either detailed instrustion based on personal experience or a web site that’s real.

Brenton Parker answers:
Leo,
The best thing to do is have your own website. With your own site there are many legitimate opportunities to make money online through both adsense and affiliate offers.
It will cost you about $40 for your own host. The host gives you your own domain name and all the tools you need to create your website. I suggest WordPress to create the site because its very easy to use and very much respected by search engines.
Next you apply to several affiliate agencies such as www.cj.com, www.shareasale.com and others. They give you an id and the ads to put on your website. When people click your ads and make a purchase, you recieve a commission. Some commissions are as much as $100.
I help people get started with this and I dont charge to help. You can contact me for more info.

Mary asks…
What is the Canadian equivalence of the Better Business Bureau?
I want to purchase merchandise from a Canadian company online. I want to find out how reputable that company is.

Brenton Parker answers:
Yeah.
It’s called the Better Business Bureau.

What are good ideas for a online business for a teen?
I want to start an online business and I have no ideas! I think i might want to sell but I’m not sure what. I like the average things a teen likes and have a lot of time. Any ideas? I’m willing to work very hard on the business.

Brenton Parker answers:
You could start an online pawn shop or mail order gift baskets. If you don’t have experience, you open a squidoo page on spuidoo.com. Maybe you could make a craft and sell it online. Or could build a website about whatever you want and charge other people for advertising space. The common charge is 5.99 per month so you should charge cheaper so people buy the space.

Your Questions About Online Business For Sale

Betty asks…
where can I find a business that is for sale online and for free?
I would like to know if there is a state database of businesses for sale or if I just have to go to one individually and ask if they would consider selling.

Brenton Parker answers:
Nothing is free but stupidity

Linda asks…
filing tax return for online business?
This is my first year to file on my new online business. On my sales receipts that I have saved of my expenses, am I allowed to claim the bottom line including sales tax or do I just claim the subtotals before taxes were added. Thanks.

Brenton Parker answers:
If you mean the sales tax charged to you on the goods you purchased for use or sale in your business, yes you can include them in the expense amount.

Ken asks…
I’m doing what I love but how do I get sales for my online business to pick up?
I have been doing my small business for a little while now and need pointers on how to better my sales. I realized over the years that more and more people are into the same business. I realize there is competition and that we are in a recession. I have my handmade pieces of jewelry priced incredibly cheap but still I suffer with online sales. I’ve gone to many craft shows over the years have noticed more and more that handmade jewelry is getting to be a more and more common business. I’ve done a few shows in the past and have gotten wonderful feedback and did well, but online not as good. Business owners or someone with knowledge of this issue please help? You insight is greatly appreciated. Only serious answers please! Thanks!
ps: I have also tried selling online at Ebay , Etsy, Facebook, Craigslist, even business cards etc etc. I scratch my head on this one please advise.

Brenton Parker answers:
Your jewelery may be incredibly cheap, but places like Ebay and Craiglist are places for items priced less than their value that people want to simply get rid of, rather than things priced to make money. I market an online art brokerage, and have found Ebay to not be of any help to us.
I’m glad you’re taking the initiative to try online marketing, an initiative many aren’t attempting, but you’re pursuing the wrong angle.
The first step is optimizing your website for SEO. Do you have text links to every page on your website, either on a sitemap, or on the homepage?
Do you link only to businesses that relate to jewelry?
Do you have effective keywords and descriptions in your meta tags?
Do you emphasize those keywords throughout your website?
Do all of your pages have different titles?
Do all of your images have alternate text?
Does your website load fast?
Those are some basic steps to making your website more “google friendly”
SEO alone is perhaps the most important factor in improving an online business. But adding keywords isn’t the only way to improve SEO. “Link juice” is a term referring to the number of websites linking to you. If a website with millions of visitors per day, for example, linked to you on their website, your website would be considered higher in Google because of it.
There are quite a few vendors doing what you do. Make a links page, and ask some of your competition if you can set up a link exchange, in which you each link to each other’s website, improving both website’s SEO.
Below I’ve listed some other websites you can list on to help improve SEO.
Joeant.com (an online shopping directory $40 to list a website forever)
Aboutus.org (Essentially wikipedia only for websites, although it’s not made by the makers of Wikipedia. A “nofollow” tag is added to articles, preventing Google from seeing aboutus.org linking to bad websites. However, if you write a well done article, you can submit it to http://www.aboutus.org/ProFollow. You can also have a professional write it, get the ads removed on your article, and get the “nofollow” tags automatically removed for a one time fee of $200)
Delicious.com (a social bookmarking website for people to list and rate websites Free to list)
Also, another problem with many websites is people are unsure about whether or not the website is secure. Web of Trust or WOT is a website reputation service based upon user ratings. You can get a trust badge for a yearly fee of $300 to put on your website (mywot.com)

Jenny asks…
How do I market my Tupperware business for online sales with little or no cost?

Brenton Parker answers:
There are many websites where you can advertise your website for free, improve your search engine rankings and get more traffic. Send an email with a writeup on your business to e@culx.net to get free advertising and one way links.

Nancy asks…
Any ideas for an online business?
I am about to start an online business. Course Im going to plan first but Im lost about what I should sale. What do you think sales alot online???
~I’m interested in clothes but I want to do something a little more easier.
~I was thinking about making candles(I mean big beautiful candles for homes) but I have to learn how to make them first.
~Im also good for cooking
Have any ideas on what kind of site I can do and what to sale?

Brenton Parker answers:
There’s so many different things to sale on an online business. I actually have a really good friend who has her own home based business making soy candles that are just gorgeouse! Great income opportunity there. She sales them on line, in stores etc etc etc. If you’d like her information, feel free to email me and I’d be happy to pass her web site along for you to get some ideas. I’m sure she’d be happy to teach you how to make them. From what I’ve heard from her, they’re not that difficult to do at all. People love candles. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t have a few.
Another thing you should take a look at is selling cell phones, and offer promo codes and services from all the major cellular providers as well as land line services, Internet, digital, VOIP, video phones, Satalite TV etc. I can send you information on how to get involve with these companies. For every service you put on either by web site or in person, the companies give you a percentage of everyone’s monthly bills. You can market them online as well. The market in this industry is world wide. So if you think about how many people have candles, and how many people have some sort of tv service or telephone service rather it’s a land line or not, and with companies keeping up on the technology changes, I think between these two things, it would be a huge amount of income if you think about how many people and all the possibilities you can have.
I’m going to forward this question to a few different people who have their own businesses and maybe some collaborations between different companies might be an option for you there.
If you’d like more information on things, feel free to email me.
